The Rajgangpur unit of Dalmia Bharat Foundation has been chosen as the Ni-Kshay Mitra of Sundergarh District under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukta Bharat Abhiyan (PMTBMBA).
The Ni-Kshay Mitra program was launched at the Community Health Centre (CHC) Rajgangpur on Wednesday with support from Dalmia Cement Bharat Limited, Rajgangpur unit.
Sundargarh Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) Dr. Saroj Kumar Mishra graced the event as the Chief Guest. Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd AED & Regional Medical Officer Dr. DK Singh, AED Dr. Niladri Bhusan Parhi, Laing CHC Medical Superintendent Dr. Mahendra Kumar Tanty, Rajgangpur CHC Medical Superintendent Dr. Jagadish Toppo and Sundargarh District TB Officer Dr. Sakti Prasad Padhi were also present in the program as guests.
Around 150 people of Rajgangpur Block participated in the program.
The Pradhan Mantri TB Mukta Bharat Abhiyan (PMTBMBA) has been launched to accelerate the People’s Movement for elimination of TB. The objective of PMTBMBA is to eliminate TB by the year 2025 under National TB Elimination Programme. For successful treatment of TB patients, corporate houses are invited to be a Nikshay Mitra (potential donor) who will provide support in the field of nutrition to TB patients of Rajgangpur Block in Sundergarh district.
In this line, the CDMO Office of Sundergarh District has assigned the list of 133 TB patients who belong to different villages of Rajgangpur Block to whom Dalmia Bharat Foundation, Rajgangpur would extend nutritional support.
While addressing the audience present at the event, Sundargarh CDMO Dr. Saroj Kumar Mishra appreciated the effort of Dalmia Cement which came forward for the noble cause and informed about Ni-Kshay Mitra. “Health is a community responsibility, not an individual responsibility,” he said.
Officials of Dalmia Cement Rajgangpur CSR Department, staff and members of CHC Rajgangpur equally contributed to make the programme a grand success.
