In line with its efforts to support Odisha’s fight against Covid-19, the Rajgangpur Unit of Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited [DCBL] has donated eight Oxygen Concentrators to the Sundargarh District Administration for the benefit of the people affected with the novel coronavirus.
DCBL Rajgangpur Deputy Executive Director Saroj Kumar Rout and Corporate Affairs Department’s Sanjib Sahu handed over the oxygen concentrators to Sundargarh Collector Nikhil Pawan Kalyan, in presence of District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Project Director B S Patel.
Representing the Company, Rout said that Dalmia management stands with the Odisha government in this hour of crisis and is fully committed to extend all possible support.
Speaking on the occasion, the newly appointed Senior Executive Director of the Company, Ganesh Jirkuntwar, said: “It is our topmost priority to make our area of operation as well as the entire Sundargarh district free from Covid-19. If we want to win the fight against Corona then, we need to follow all the rules prescribed by the government and also adopt good behavioural habits.”
Reiterating its commitment to help the State Government in its fight against Covid-19, Dalmia Cement Rajgangpur had recently handed over safety kits containing hand gloves, face shields and sanitizers to the district administration which were distributed among 4,000 Anganwadi workers who are playing a major role in Covid management at the grassroots level.
To recall, DCBL has initiated various measures to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus in the plant premises and peripheral areas. As part of the initiative, the Company has been regularly sanitizing various wards of Rajgangpur town, and villages under Kutra and Rajgangpur Block. Besides, it has extended round-the-clock free ambulance service to the Rajgangpur Government Hospital for shifting critical patients to Covid hospitals. The Company has also provided beds and other medical equipment for the Covid Care Center set up at Bagichapara recently.
