A programme titled “Remembering Bapu” was organised at the Aditya Birla Group-run Gandhi Peace Centre here on Tuesday to remember the Father of the Nation.
The event was graced by Odisha Governor Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal. Also present on the occasion were Odisha Minister Ashok Kumar Panda, Culture Department Director Dilip Routray, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation Mayor Sulochana Das, Hindalco Industries Ltd President Ardhendhu Mohapatra and Gandhi Peace Centre Head-Operation Vivek Gupta.
Some eminent personalities of Odisha who immensely contributed for the welfare of backward communities, were felicitated at the programme.
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, drawing and essay competitions among school students of Bhubaneswar were held. The winners of these competitions were felicitated by Governor Prof. Lal.
