BHUBANESWAR, AUGUST 2, 2024 (TBB BUREAU): In a landmark initiative to boost youth employability in Odisha, Dr. Reddy’s Foundation, in partnership with Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC), has launched a state-of-the-art skill development centre in Bhubaneswar.
This new centre will offer a specialized three-month General Duty Assistant (GDA) course, tailored specifically for the youth in Angul and Sundargarh districts. The GDA course is meticulously designed to provide participants with comprehensive hands-on training in advanced laboratory techniques, significantly enhancing their proficiency in patient care. This program meets the growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals by emphasizing practical training to effectively support healthcare teams.
One of the standout features of this program is its placement-linked initiatives, ensuring that participants have direct pathways to employment within the healthcare sector. The inauguration ceremony was graced by notable dignitaries including Manu Merhotra, Head (PP&A) of GMDC’s Baitarani West Coal Project in Angul, Sushil Minhas, GM, RCO, Bhubaneswar; and Dr. Reddy’s Foundation’s Gagandeep Singh, along with representatives from GMDC.
