The Odisha government is inviting investors and tour operators to explore the hidden gems situated 200 kilometres away from the capital city, aiming to showcase the true essence of the state beyond its well-known destinations.
Daringbadi, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, offers an unparalleled experience, enticing stakeholders to immerse themselves in the authentic beauty of Odisha.
During the Business-to-Government (B2G) meeting held as part of the 5th Odisha Travel Bazaar 2024 at Eco Retreat, Konark, government officials emphasized the importance of diversifying tourism offerings. They urged investors to venture into lesser-explored places, fostering a deeper connection with the real Odisha. The government welcomes suggestions from stakeholders, striving to make its tourism policy more dynamic and inclusive.
In support of investors, the state is undergoing significant infrastructure development, including the construction of new airports, roads, and hotels across various regions of Odisha. This initiative aims to establish a solid foundation for the growth of tourism beyond the traditional destinations.
The B2G meeting witnessed industry leaders offering valuable suggestions across diverse tourism segments, including MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) Tourism, wildlife tourism, and Caravan tourism. They advocated for the integration of these suggestions into the state’s tourism policy to enhance its overall appeal.
The interactive Industry roundtable featured prominent figures such as Additional Chief Secretary of Tourism, Surendra Kumar, Tourism Director Sachin Ramchandra Yadav, and representatives from IHCL (Taj), Indian Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB), Yatra, MakeMyTrip, Booking.com, among others. These key stakeholders shared insights and recommendations, contributing to the development of progressive tourism policies in Odisha.
As Odisha unveils its lesser-explored treasures, the state is poised to emerge as a multifaceted tourism destination, offering unique experiences that transcend the familiar landscapes of Bhubaneswar and Puri.
