The Bhubaneswar Chapter of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) organised a seminar on “Spectrum of Opportunities in Corporate Era”, here on Saturday.
Inaugurating the two-day seminar, National Law University Odisha Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Pratap Singh spoke about the increasing and different role played by the Legal and Company Secretary professionals in the corporate world. He also focused on the recent amendment in the Companies Act and explained how these are relevant and important for economic setup of the nation.
Sessions on ‘Sources of Corporate Funding’, ‘Buy Back of Shares’, ‘Merger, Acquisition, Takeover Procedure’, ‘Data Analytics Tools and Techniques – the game changing requirements for a Corporate Professional’, ‘Stress Management’ etc. will be held during the two-day seminar, ICSI sources said.
In his welcome address, ICSI Bhubaneswar Chapter Chairman CS Rajendra Kumar Kar highlighted the activities of the Chapter.
EIRC former Chairman CS Priyadarshi Nayak and ICSI Bhubaneswar Chapter Secretary CS Ajaya Kumar Majhi also addressed the inaugural session of the seminar.
Company Secretaries and other professionals attended the programme.
