Continuing its dominance as the most preferred and No. 1 digital service provider in the state, Reliance Jio added the highest number of mobile subscribers in Odisha, in the month of October 2023, as per the latest telecom subscriber data released by TRAI, on Wednesday. Significantly, for the second consecutive month, Jio became the only service provider to add new mobile subscribers while others like Airtel, BSNL and VI lost thousands of subscribers during this period, revealed the data released by TRAI.
As per the data, Jio added over 1.88 lakh new mobile subscribers in Odisha, in the month of October 2023. With this the total number of mobile subscribers on Jio network in Odisha reached nearly 1.47 crore, as on October 31, 2023. Overall telecom subscriber base in Odisha increased by over 1.49 lakh in October, taking the total number of mobile subscribers in the state to 3.33 crore. Further consolidating its leadership in the Odisha telecom market, Jio has been consistently adding the highest new subscribers every month and added over 7.35 lakh new mobile subscribers in the first 10 months of 2023.
Nationally, Jio also marched ahead with addition of over 31.59 lakh subscribers in October, taking the total mobile subscriber base on the Jio Network to over 45.23 crore, further consolidating its position as the No. 1 digital service provider in the country.
It is worth mentioning that Reliance Jio has been the most preferred digital service provider in Odisha with the highest 44 per cent subscriber market share and the highest 52 per cent revenue market share in the industry.
