Reliance Jio, the most preferred digital service provider in Odisha, further consolidated its market leadership in the state by adding over 74,000 new mobile subscribers and over 8,000 wireline subscribers in December 2022, as per the latest data, published by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
Reliance Jio is the only service provider which has added new subscribers in the month of December while all other service providers including Airtel, BSNL and VI lost thousands of subscribers in the month, TRAI data said.
Jio further consolidated its No. 1 position in Odisha with over 1.39 crore mobile subscribers and over 1.91 lakh JioFiber subscribers in the state. As per the TRAI data, Reliance Jio added 74,581 new mobile subscribers in the state in December 2022, while all other service providers lost thousands of customers, during the same period. Powered by strong subscriber addition by Jio, overall mobile subscriber base in Odisha increased by 54,489 in the month of December 2022, revealed the data.
Jio has been the most preferred mobile service provider in Odisha with the highest market share in terms of both highest number of subscribers as well as highest revenue market share in the state.
Nationally, Jio also added over 17 lakh new mobile subscribers in December 2022, whereas it further consolidated its leadership position in wireline segment as the largest wireline service provider on the country, adding nearly 3 lakh new wireline subscribers in December.
Jio has also been fast expanding its True 5G footprint across the state with True 5G services now available across 13 cities of Odisha.
Jio has also consolidated its leadership position in the home and enterprise broadband segment in Odisha with rapid expansion of JioFiber high-speed broadband services to over 37 cities and towns across the state.
