In a momentous event, the JSP Foundation, the social arm of Jindal Steel & Power (JSP), in collaboration with the District Administration of Angul, unveiled the much-anticipated Biju Patnaik Park in the serene environs of Pallahara, nestled within the heart of Angul district. The inauguration ceremony, graced by the presence of Angul Collector and District Magistrate Sidhharth Shankar Swain and Pallahara MLA Mukesh Kumar Pal, marked a significant milestone for the local community.
Radiating goodwill to the denizens of Pallahara, JSP Foundation Chairperson Shallu Jindal expressed her heartfelt aspirations, stating, “JSP Foundation is committed to enhancing the holistic well-being of communities. It is my sincere belief that the Biju Patnaik Park at Pallahara will serve as a beacon of wellness, fostering healthier lifestyles and fostering community cohesion.”
Speaking at the inauguration, Angul Collector Sidharth Shankar Swain commended the park as a shining exemplar of sustainable Public-Private Partnership (PPP), aimed at enriching civic amenities for the populace. “This park embodies the spirit of collaborative efforts, and I am confident that the people of Pallahara will reap the benefits of such initiatives spearheaded by JSP Foundation,” remarked Swain.
Expressing gratitude, MLA Mukesh Kumar Pal extended heartfelt thanks to Jindal Steel & Power and JSP Foundation for heeding the community’s long-standing aspiration and materializing the park, thereby fulfilling a cherished communal dream.
Spanning across 3.5 acres of land, the park stands as a testament to modernity and functionality, nestled at the nucleus of the town. It boasts contemporary infrastructure and amenities, including a picturesque pond, meticulously manicured lawns, elegantly designed pathways, inviting benches, vibrant kids’ play areas, an open-air gymnasium, a tranquil enclave for senior citizens, and essential facilities like restrooms and potable water.
JSP President & Group Head (CSR) Prashant Hota underscored the park’s significance in realizing the visionary goals of JSP Chairman Naveen Jindal and JSP Foundation Chairperson Shallu Jindal towards fostering inclusive development and elevating the quality of life for the populace of Odisha. “We have incorporated cutting-edge facilities to ensure an unparalleled experience for the residents of Pallahara,” added Hota.
The momentous occasion witnessed the presence of Pallahara’s Sub Collector Susanta Kumar Pati, Block Chairperson Reena Rani Naik, BDO Dillip Kumar Bara, Zilla Parishad Member Sabitri Majhi, and JSP President & Group Head (CSR) Prashant Hota.
