Reiterating its commitment to Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in Odisha, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) has evinced interest to build a a port based container manufacturing unit at Paradip.
JSPL Chairman Naveen Jindal during his visit to Paradip Port on Tuesday, discussed about the project, which will be the first of its kind in Odisha.
This port-based Container Manufacturing Unit will be built over 100 acres of land. Sources on knowledge of the project revealed that the Paradip Port Trust has agreed to provide the required land to JSPL.
Accompanied by a team of senior officials of JSPL, Jindal had a meeting with authorities of Paradip Port Trust and also discussed about his Company’s proposal for establishing a dedicated railway freight corridor from Angul industrial cluster to Paradip.
He also visited various other facilities of Paradip Port.
