Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) Group Advisor (Legal, Corporate Affairs, CSR & Sustainability) Manish Kharbanda has been elected as the Chairman of CII Odisha State Council for the year 2021-22. His name was announced at the first meeting of the reconstituted Odisha State Council of CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) held in Puri on Tuesday.
National Aluminium Company Ltd (NALCO) Chairman & Managing Director Sridhar Patra has been elected as the Vice Chairman of the CII Odisha State Council.
Kharbanda is a seasoned professional with several years of work experience in some of the best companies in Corporate India. Prior to the present assignment at JSPL, he successfully led the Mines and Minerals Business of the Company as Executive Director – Group Head (Raw Material Sourcing) and Head of Odisha Affairs. As Executive Director – Global Ventures, he managed the complete global business portfolio – identifying and canvassing organic and inorganic growth opportunities and managing operations.
An alumnus of Harvard Business School, Kharbanda also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from ICFAI specializing in Finance & HR. His academic repertoire also includes an Advanced Diploma in Finance (CFA charter) and Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Lucknow. His deep knowledge of business, impeccable academics combined with passion, dedication and thought leadership has led to his meteoric growth in organizations.
Known for his “simple living, high thinking” attitude, NALCO CMD Patra has carved a niche for himself; and has earned the tag of a result-driven and team-oriented leader.
Prior to heading aluminium major NALCO, he was serving as the Director (Finance) of the Company. He has over three decades of experience in handling finance and accounts of PSUs. He has expert knowledge and exposure in corporate accounts, budgetary control, direct and indirect tax management, strategic financial and business planning. Patra’s level of professionalism to all stakeholders, ‘hands on approach’ style and sharp business acumen has endeared him to one and all.
