State-owned steel maker RINL on Monday said Kishore Chandra Das has been assigned additional charge as its Chairman and Managing Director with effect from June 1, 2021.
The additional charge to Das has been given for a period of one month or until further orders, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL) said in a statement.
“Kishore Chandra Das, Director (Personnel), RINL is assigned the additional charge of the post of CMD, RINL for a period of one month from 1st to 30th June 2021 or until joining of regular incumbent or until further orders by the Ministry of Steel,” it said.
Das took over as RINL’s Director (Personnel) on January 1, 2017. He is a post graduate in humanities and an MBA.
Das is on the Board of OMDC & BSLC, subsidiaries of RINL. He is instrumental in turning out the BSLC, a sick company, and facilitated OMDC for its mining operations.
Earlier, Das served as Executive Director (HR) at Mazagon Dock Ship Builders Ltd, a Central PSU under the Ministry of Defence for a little over five years. Prior to this, He has also served GAIL and in its Joint Venture in various capacities in the HR domain for over 15 years.
Das has vast experience of 33 years in core Human Resources Management with proven track records.
The major areas of his contributions during his professional career, are primarily in Industrial Relations, Human Resource Development, and Skill Development.
During his long service, he has provided leadership in all facets of Human Resources Management and constantly strived for process improvements. His professional approach, hard work, sincerity, commitment, and vision will certainly contribute to inspiring the entire RINL family to reach greater heights.
RINL, under the Ministry of Steel, owns and operates a 7.3 million tonne steel plant in Visakhapatnam. It is the country’s first shore-based integrated steel plant producing special steel products.
