Land acquisition process for JSW project gears up

 Land acquisition process for the proposed steel plant project of JSW in Jagatsinghpur district is going on in full swing with the authorities surveying and demolishing betel vines in Dhinkia, Nuagaon and Gadkujang Panchayats under Ersama Tehsil.

In Dhinkia panchayat, the betel vines survey and demolition work is going on, while the process of tree identification in Gobindpur village is also in progress.  As of today, more than 8,000 trees have been identified in the village.  As on Monday, 644 betel vines of 595 beneficiaries had been surveyed. Of these, 568 vines were demolished and compensation to the tune of Rs 10.29 crore was given to 422 beneficiaries. The acquired land measures 48.45 acres.

Five teams from the Ersama Tehsil are supervising the ongoing land acquisition process.
