The Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation (OMFED) has bagged the NCDFI award for best performing dairy cooperatives from east and north-east regions.
Anand-based National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India (NCDFI) is the apex organization for the cooperative dairy sector.
On behalf of OMFED, Deputy General Manager JK Patnaik received the award from Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah during the Cooperative Dairy Conclave-2022, held at Gangtok in Sikkim on October 7.
NCDFI has initiated an online market place called “NCDFI e-market” to provide transparent, fast and user-friendly platform to trade bulk commodities to member dairy cooperatives with the patronage of the National Dairy Development Board.
The OMFED transacted business trading of Rs.13.77 crore with NCDFI in the year 2021-22 through e-market platform.
