During the one-day official visit of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Odisha BJP Unit Secretary Tankadhar Tripathy discussed several important issues pertaining to the development of Jharsuguda district as well as the pre-independence era railway station at the district headquarters town of Jharsuguda.
During the Railway Minister’s stay at Jharsuguda, Tankadhar Tripathy discussed various issues related to Jharsuguda district.
During the discussion, Vaishnav assured Tripathy that all the train lines of the three railway divisions – Bilaspur, Sambalpur and Chakardharpur – would be combined and controlled from Jharsuguda junction.
Tripathy also requested the Railway Minister to make arrangement for the renovation of the British era Old Post Office building at Jharsuguda, and declare it as a heritage building.
The Railway Minister also reviewed the functioning of various Railway divisions, i.e. East Coast (ECoR), South- Eastern (SE) and South Central (SC) divisions and also Kolkota Zone.
All local MLAs, and both Sambalpur and Bargarh MPs were also present during the review meeting.
