Over 350 people get free treatment at Hindalco’s multi-specialty health camp in Hirakud

As many as 387 people received free medical treatment and medicines at the multi-specialty health camp organised by the Hirakud Unit of Hidalco at the Hirakud Government Hospital recently.

The camp was conducted with the medical support of Dr. Netra Nanda Dora, Dr. Keshaba Budulu, Dr. Padmalaya Mishra, Dr. Asuthosh Mishra, Dr. Chandan Marandi, Dr. Ashish Kumar Nayak and Dr. Sunil Kumar Kar who offered specialised service in Medicine, Gynaecology, Paediatrics,, Dermatology, Orthogeriatric and ENT.

Hindalco’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Subrat Chatarjee and other doctors of Hindalco Health Centre also participated and managed the specialised health camp, which was organised by the Hindalco Health Centre and the CSR Department with support from the doctors and staff of the Hirakud Govt. Hospital.

The camp was jointly inaugurated by Kailash Natha Pandey, Sambalpur Cluster Head; and Dr. Bharat Dash, ADMO, Family Planning Sambalpur; in presence of Krishna Padhi, HR Head; Debasis Mallik, Plant Head; Pranjal Pathak, Power Plant Head; Surjeet Mitra, FRP Head, and HR Odisha, Cluster Head Satish Ananda, Finance Cluster Head Sreenatha Mishra.

Sambalpur ADMO Dr. Dash lauded Hindalco for organising such a specialised camp for the benefit of the general public of Hirakud. He also recalled the help and support provided by Hindalco to the government during the Covid time.

Speaking on the occasion, Hindalco Cluster Head Pandey assured that Hindalco would continue to engage in public welfare activities in future. “Local area development is a basic value of ours, and we will adhere to it with utmost dedication,” he said.

  Krishan Padhi, HR Head, explained how Hindalco is involved in the promotion of education, health, social, and sustainable development of the region through various programmes. “The Covid pandemic pushed us to concentrate on healthcare; it is now time for us to focus on the development of our community, and we are taking steps in that direction. And the CSR activity will be expanded with the support of the local community,” he said.

 The President of the Senior Citizens’ Association Hirakud praised the efforts of Hindalco for caring for the health of the inhabitants of Hirakud, and requested the Hindalco authorities to continue such progarmmes in future too.
