Panchayat representatives from Jagatsinghpur dist visit JSW Vijayanagar plant

A 29-member team from Dhinkia, Nuagaon and Gadakujunga Gram panchayats under Ersama Block of Jagatsinghpur district in Odisha visited JSW Vijayanagar Works in Bellary district of Karanataka and celebrated India’s 76th Independence Day with JSW Steel Managing Director Sajjan Jindal and JSW Foundation Chairperson Sangita Jindal on Monday.

Led by Dhinkia Panchayat Sarpanch Kishore Parida, Nuagaon Panchayat Sarpanch Suchitra Mohanty and Gadakujunga Panchayat Sarpanch Kavitha Das, the team left Bhubaneswar on Sunday to JSW Vijayanagar Works, and came back on Tuesday after visiting the steel plant ana gaining first-hand experience of steel making.

Dabindar Sanga, Senior Officer-Security and Administrative Department; Subash Parida and Abhijit Mohanty, Senior Officers of the JUSL also accompanied the panchayat representatives during their trip to Vijayanagar Works.

The panchayat representatives interacted with Sajjan Jindal and Sangita Jindal and presented idols of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra to them to mark the momentous celebration on 76th Independence Day.

The Jinal couple expressed their joy after interacting with the representatives from Odisha.

“I am so happy to meet people from coastal Odisha at Vijaynagar on the auspicious occasion of our Independence Day,” said Sangita Jindal.

Thanking JSW Steel for organizing the exposure trip, Kabita Das said, “The experience was amazing. We witnessed first-hand experience of steel making and periphery development. We hope that the same development will take place in Paradip as well.”
