Fulfilling the long-standing request of the people of Tikiri, led by Utkal Alumina, the Indian Railways has decided that Train No. 18005/06 Howrah-Jagdalpur Samaleswari Express would stop at Tikiri Station.
The announcement of the stoppage, as per Letter No. 2023/CHG/13/13-Part (8) of the Ministry of Railways, marks a significant milestone in enhancing connectivity and convenience for the residents of Tikiri. This initiative will not only benefit the local community but also streamline the transportation needs of Utkal Alumina’s dedicated workforce, promoting efficiency and productivity.
In the light of this decision, Utkal Alumina along with the public of Tikiri thanks East Coast Railways and Waltair Division.
By providing a halt at Tikiri Station, the Ministry of Railways, East Coast Railways, and Waltair Division have demonstrated their commitment to the welfare and progress of the region. This strategic decision will have a positive impact on the socio-economic development of Tikiri and neighboring areas, facilitating improved accessibility, and boosting trade and tourism.
