Rotary Club of Temple City organises plantation drive, blood donation camp

Rotary Club of Temple City organised a plantation drive at the premises of Biju Patnaik International Airport Bhubaneswar on Thursday in presence of Rtn. Dr. Pravat Ranjan Beuria, Director of Biju Patnaik International Airport.

More than 100 saplings of fruit bearing plants were planted during the programme, led by Rtn. Prashant Kumar Hota, President of the Club and Group CSR Head of Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL).

Club Secretary and Head of Central Horticultural Experiment Station, Bhubaneswar Rtn. Dr. Govind Chandra Acharya, former President and Treasurer Rtn. S.P. Patnaik, former President and SoA Deemed University Vice Chancellor Rtn. Dr. Ashoka Kumar Mohapatra, ex-President and former Engineer in Chief (Works) of Odisha Rtn. D.N. Pal, IPP Rtn. Manas Kumar Panda and Rtn. R.C. Mohanty also actively participated in the plantation programme. The plantation drive will also be organised in other parts of the temple city, informed the Club President Rtn. Hota.

Rotary Club of Temple City, in association with the Blood Bank of IMS and SUM Hospital, Bhubaneswar also organised a blood donation camp on September 21. The camp was held under the leadership of the Club’s ex-President and SoA Deemed University Vice Chancellor of Rtn. Dr. Ashoka Kumar Mohapatra, former President and Treasurer Rtn. S.P. Patnaik, and Secretary Rtn. Dr. Govind Chandra Acharya. Aashraa Foundation, a local NGO supported the club in organising the camp.
