Rourkela Ispat Trust (RIT) and Apollo Hospitals on Wednesday formally announced the launching of the partnership for operation of the state-of-the-art Ispat Post Graduate Institute and Super Speciality Hospital (IPG & SSH).
The function was graced by Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) Director In Charge & RIT Governing Board Chairman Atanu Bhowmick, Rourkela ADM Dr. Shubankar Mohapatra, Senior Vice President (Medical Services – Apollo Hospitals Group) Dr. Rohini Sridhar, Senior Vice Presidents (Finance & Accounts – Apollo Hospitals Group) Dr. R Krishna Kumar, Sundargarh Chief District Medical & Public Health Officer Dr. Dharni Ranjan Satpathy, and Apollo Hospitals Chief Operating Officer managing IPGI &SSH Dr. Sajal Sen.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhowmick said, “Since its very inception, Rourkela Steel Plant has been committed towards the health of its stakeholders. Keeping in view the growing health care needs of the people and the lack of super specialty facilities in this region, the Ispat Post Graduate Institute and Super Specialty Hospital was set up with state-of-the-art facilities. I am sure that, with a renowned institute like the Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited managing the hospital, it will be a boon for the entire region. May the hospital set an excellent example in providing affordable, accessible and quality healthcare services.”
In his address, ADM Dr. Mohapatra highlighted that the launch of operations at the Super Specialty Hospital by the leading healthcare provider is a crucial step in addressing the specialized health needs of the region’s residents. He also underlined the significance of empathy among doctors and the essential role played by the support staff in ensuring the success of the healthcare facility.
Dr. Dharni Ranjan Satapathy emphasized the significance of the advanced healthcare facility for the local populace.
Dr. Rohini Sridhar lauded the state-of-the-art infrastructure at the new healthcare center and expressed optimism that it would establish a distinguished presence in the pristine, natural beauty-enveloped city.
Dr. Krishna Kumar spoke about the development of the advanced healthcare facility at Rourkela underscoring its significance as a prominent milestone for the people of the region.
