SAIL-run Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has been conferred with the prestigious ‘Gold Awards’ for Grow Care India CSR Education Award 2022 and Grow Care Environment Excellence Award 2022 in a glittering function held at India International Centre in New Delhi on Monday.
Grow Care Environment Excellence Award 2022 was bestowed upon RSP for its continual improvement in the field of Environment Management and Sustainable Development, such as reduction in Green House Gas Emissions, maximum Solid Waste Management, Greenery Development, efforts towards Zero Liquid Discharge and improvement in the Ambient Air Quality in Rourkela.
Various activities undertaken by CSR to promote education among children from underprivileged sections of the society belonging to Industrial slums, Model Steel Villages, Resettlement Colonies and Peripheral Blocks have helped in bagging ‘Gold Awards’ under the category Grow Care India CSR Education Award 2022.
RSP CGM (TA & CSR) Ajay Kumar Nayak and GM In-charge (EED) PC Dash received these awards on behalf of the steel plant.
Union Minister of State for Steel and Rural Development Faggan Singh Kulaste graced the function as the Chief Guest.
Grow Care India recognizes the exemplary performances of organisation in the field of Environment, Occupational Health and Safety, Human Resource and other issues like Risk Management, Innovation Ideas/Projects, Corporate Ethics and Eco Innovation.
