Rudra Madhab Sahoo has officially taken charge as the Chairman of the Bhubaneswar chapter of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) for the year 2024. Joining him in key roles are Sasmita Panda as Vice Chairperson and Srimanta Baboo as Secretary & Treasurer.
The managing committee also includes Bimal Prasad Pattanaik, Jitendriya Mohanty, Jyotirmaya Panigrahi, and Nilakantha Samal, with CS Soumya Sujit Mishra serving as the Ex-Officio member.
The newly appointed office bearers are set to oversee the development of the Company Secretary profession in the state of Odisha. Their focus includes enhancing student and member development by collaborating with educational institutions and creating awareness about the career prospects of Company Secretary among students.
The ICSI provides essential facilities such as classroom teaching, reading rooms, and library resources for students pursuing the Company Secretaryship course. The institute organizes various academic and professional development programs for members, students, and stakeholders.
ICSI has established four examination centers and signed MoUs with prominent institutions, including IIM Sambalpur, Berhampur University, National Law University Odisha, Birla Global University, GIET University, Sri Sri University, Xavier University, KiiT (Deemed) University, Odisha State Open University, and SOA (Deemed) University of Odisha.
With eight study centers in Odisha, the chapter has received the ICSI National Best Chapter Award five times, boasting over 400 CS members and around 2500 CS students in the state.
