A group of sand artists, led by renowned sculptor Manas Sahoo, on Saturday made a magnificent sculpture on the Puri beach showcasing Lord Jagannath in all His glory showering blessings on the Vedanta Group and its Founder Anil Agarwal for promoting and participating in the progress of Odisha.

Hundreds of tourists and connoisseurs of sand art gathered at the site to have a glance of this sand sculpture on the sea beach of the pilgrim city.

The display instantly became a big promotional event of the superior skill of the sand artists of Puri, and growing patronage of a big corporate like Vedanta for these struggling artisans.

Puri-based social activist Badrinarayan Mishra, Trinath Lenka of social organization SUJOG, and Partha Roy of NGO Nirmalya described the latest initiatives of Vedanta as one of the most welcome measures to support the artists at this trying time when the Covid-19 pandemic has pushed them into unemployemnt.

They also expressed happiness that the Vedanta Founder while addressing “The ODISHA #1st FORUM” recently, told that his company would collaborate and cooperate with government and non-government organisations for the promotion of the state of Odisha with which he has developed a strong connect from the time of the great leader and the architect of modern Odisha, Late Biju Patnaik.

Presently, Vedanta leads from the front in making Odisha the Aluminium Capital of India, hub of South East Asia and South Asia.
