Sanitization drive by Dalmia Cement to contain spread of Covid-19

Given the severity of the current circumstances with the second wave of COVID-19 wreaking havoc in India, as a responsible corporate citizen Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited has initiated a sanitization drive in its area of operations.

DCBL’s Lanjiberna Limestone Mines has started sanitizing villages under Kutra and Rajgangpur Blocks. The company has sanitised offices, shopping complexes, habitats, and roads of Katanga, Lanjiberna and Bihabandha villages.

The Lanjiberna Limestone Mines has taken the initiatives after Covid-19 cases were traced in rural areas, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

This apart, the CSR wing of the Lanjiberna Limestone Mines has distributed N-95 masks among Anganwadi and ASHA workers and organised awareness campaigns regarding Covid-19. People were made aware about wearing masks, hand-washing, maintaining social distance and keeping the environment clean to protect one from Covid-19, during these awareness campaigns.

To recall, as part of its corporate social responsibility company had sanitized wards, weekly market, Barupada, Jitutola, Panapada, IT Colony, Jagannath Temple, Liploi, Rajgangpur Bus stand, police station and railway station in Rajgangpur Town.

The company will continue such sanitisation drive and intensify it further if situation demands, company sources said.
