Country’s largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) on Wednesday organised a mega SGG Credit Linkage programme at Pipili.
Inaugurating the programme, SBI Bhubaneswar Circle Chief General Manager Vidya Krishnan handed over loan sanction letters to local self-help groups (SHGs).
On the occasion, 730 new SHG loans and renewals were disbursed to group members across Puri district. A total of Rs 10.09 crore was sanctioned and disbursed during the programme.
The public and the guests lauded the initiatives of SBI, Bhubaneswar Circle in empowering the women through financing the SHGs.
SBI GM-I Abhaya Kishore Pandey, DGM (B&O) Ananda Bikram, RM-RBO Puri Shankarshan Malik; and BDO Rashmita Nath were present on the occasion.
