Swayam Shakti Tripathy, a student of Aakash BYJU’S Bhubaneswar branch, has a passion to help people and wanted to pursue the noble profession of a Doctor to realize his dreams. He prepared with diligence and grit to ace NEET UG 2023 scoring 715 out of 720 and topped Odisha with AIR (All India Rank) 8. He was the only student in his batch who asked for more assignments above and beyond what was allocated.
Swayam joined Aakash BYJU’s in Class X to prepare for the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) where he cleared both sessions to become a scholar. Being the year of Covid pandemic, classes were online but Swayam really liked the professional teachers and interactive teaching methods during the online classes. He decided to pursue his NEET preparation with the two year course in Class XI. He was strong in biology and after his board exams, spent some time watching interviews of notable doctors online. It inspired him to be of service to the people directly and thus prepare for medical.
His teachers commended him for his ability to do self-analysis and improve on weak areas by himself through self-study. He was meticulous in keeping a list of questions that he got wrong in earlier tests and used it for casual revision before NEET.
Speaking about his preparations, Swayam said, “I knew with my preparation that I would perform well, however with the exam being so competitive, I wasn’t sure if my score would be enough to get me a good rank under 100. I owe my success to the teachers and the intensive preparation at Aakash. I trusted them and followed their instructions without a question in my mind, which brought me here today.”
