Tata Power Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) on Monday inaugurated its second Skill Development Centre at Badambadi in Cuttack. The Centre was inaugurated by Odisha Energy Minister Pratap Keshari Deb and TPCODL CEO M Shenbagam in the presence of Cuttack Municipal Corporation Mayor Subhash Chandra Singh, Choudwar-Cuttack MLA Souvic Biswal and senior executives of TPCODL.
Aimed at strengthening and enhancing the technical skills of its regular and business associates, TPCODL’s Skill Development Centre (SDC), will provide access and cater to the development opportunities to various sections, sub-divisions and division offices falling in the service area of Cuttack Circle.
The centre is well equipped with classroom training, all types of Distribution equipment and also an opportunity wherein employees can get hands-on training. This centre, like the previous one set up in Bhubaneswar in September 2022, is a great platform for the workforce and technical staff of both TPCODL and its business associates as it helps the employees from urban and rural areas to learn and practice new processes and technology that will help them sharpen their overall skill sets.
TPCODL plans to set up one such Skill Development Centre in all three other remaining electricity circles under its licensed area of operation for knowledge and skill upgradation of all its employees.
“I congratulate the team of TPCODL for launching its second skill development centre. I am confident that this will help its employees to further enhance their skills and will equip them to tackle any situation” said Minister Pratap Keshari Deb.
“The inauguration of our second centre is a testament to our commitment towards providing a platform to upskill our employees for their professional growth. Keeping up with the ever-evolving technology, our primary focus will always be to upgrade ourselves so as to provide reliable and robust power supply to our customers.” said M Shenbagam, CEO – TPCODL.
