At a time when a section of media circulating biased reports on energy distribution company Tata Power Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL)’s alleged careless attitude towards consumers’ grievances, the discom has been working day and night to provide quality electricity to its consumers even in remote areas under its jurisdiction.
TPCODL is building a robust network of transformers, substations and grids to ensure efficient power supply across its area of operation to effectively manage unprecedented load during this summer season.
Considering frequent outage due to power tripping and low voltage because of rising demand in Bhandaghar village under Kakatpur-I Section in Puri District, TPCODL has upgraded the transformer in the village from 100 kVA to 250 kVA recently, thus resolving the power interruption and low voltage issues in the locality.
The upgraded transformer in Bhandaghar village is benefiting nearly 130 families who can now use air conditioners and refrigerators and other heavy load equipment without any problem.
