In a bid to providing secure and uninterrupted power supply during the upcoming Dussehra festival, Tata Power Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) has issued vital safety guidelines for temporary structures and pandals.
The discom has urged event organizers and shopkeepers to obtain authorized electrical connections for a safe and reliable celebration. The company’s vigilant teams will monitor and maintain electricity at all the puja pandals, preventing unauthorized access, TPCODL said in a press release on Thursday.
TPCODL has suggested puja organizers and shopkeepers to engage authorised electricians for wiring and testing, get legal connections for tents, pandals and lighting, avoid unauthorized hooking, ensure proper earthing, maintain a safe distance from electrical installations and electrical lines during processions, and to install fire extinguishers and use energy-efficient LED lights.
Persons desirous of taking temporary connection during the festival may call 1912 or email at [email protected], TPCODL said in the release.
“Our firm commitment to safety guarantees a joyful and exceptionally secure Dussehra for everyone. We wholeheartedly encourage the public to procure authorized electricity connections and diligently adhere to safety protocols,” said Arvind Singh, Chief Executive Officer, TPCODL.
