TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, proudly announces its exceptional achievement at the 5th ‘Chapter Convention on Quality Concept 2023’, organized by Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) in Bhubaneswar from September 9th to 10th at Silicon Institute of Technology. Under the theme “Nurture Quality Concepts for a Better Future,” TPCODL secured all 10 Gold Category Awards, demonstrating excellence in QCC, Kaizen, and Workplace Management.
TPCODL’s delegates, mentors, senior team leaders, and dedicated team member’s collective efforts were instrumental in achieving this remarkable feat.
TPCODL’s feat was achieved through 10 projects, highlighting its unwavering commitment to continuous improvement and advancement. In a competitive landscape featuring 180 project teams from esteemed organizations, including Odisha Mining Corporation, Jindal Stainless Ltd, NALCO, BALCO, UAIL, Tata Steel Ltd, Tata Consumer Products, TPWODL, TPNODL, TPSODL and RCF Mumbai, TPCODL emerged as highest Gold Category Award champions.
Since initiating its journey towards Business Excellence in 2021, TPCODL has been a leader in driving continuous improvement, fostering a culture of excellence through PRAYAAS/Kaizen, Quality Control Circle, Workplace Management (5S Concepts), and advance Projects.
In FY22, TPCODL’s teams actively participated in state-level, regional-level, and national-level competitions organized by QCFI, CII, and ISGF, promoting maximum participation in Quality Circle events and recognizing employee efforts through a dedicated Rewards & Recognitions policy.
All 10 teams from TPCODL that received Gold Category Awards at the Chapter Convention on Quality Concept 2023 have also qualified for the prestigious National Convention of Quality Concept (NCQC).
