Tata Power Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) marked Lineman Diwas with a series of celebrations across its divisions and circles, acknowledging the pivotal role of linemen in ensuring a reliable electricity supply. The event aimed to raise awareness about safety practices among linemen while expressing gratitude for their unwavering dedication.
The Lineman Diwas was celebrated across all 19 divisions, six circles and at the Corporate office, where more than 200 diligent linemen were honoured for their tireless contributions. Their commitment not only upholds the integrity of the power infrastructure but also ensures consistent access to electricity for consumers.
At the corporate office in Berhampur, a special program was held in the presence of TPSODL CEO Amit Kumar Garg, and other senior management officials.
Speaking on the occasion, CEO Garg emphasized the pivotal role of linemen in the utility sector, hailing them as the backbone of the company. He lauded their dedication, which enables the delivery of a reliable power supply to consumers, expressing gratitude to them and their families for their commitment and sacrifices.
TPSODL also launched the “National Safety Week” 2024 under the theme “Focus on Safety Leadership for ESG Excellence.” A safety video presentation highlighted essential safety practices and equipment, with the overarching goal of achieving ‘Zero Harm’ in the workplace. Throughout the month, various events such as story writing and safety quizzes are planned to underscore the significance of safety in the workplace.
