As a part of its CSR initiative, the Sambalpur Circle of Tata Power Western Odisha Distribution Ltd. (TPWODL) has conducted a blood donation camp at the VSSUT Club House here.
The camp was inaugurated by TPWODL CEO Gajanan Kale in the presence of VIMSAR Director Dr. Lalit Meher, VSSUT VC Dr. Bansidhar Majhi and VIMSAR Burla Blood Bank HoD Dr. Chitta Prasad.
A total of 130 units of blood was collected from the employees of TPWODL during the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, the TPWODL CEO informed that the Company has planned to spend Rs. 1.5 core in CSR activities in the current fiscal.
TPWODL has already deployed a Mobile Medical Unit in Kalahandi District from January this year, and the mobile medical unit has covered 40 villages in two blocks and already provided medical assistance to more than 12,000 patients in Junagarh and Golemunda Blocks.
He further said that TPWODL plans to roll out one more Mobile Medical Unit in Deogarh District from January 2023.
