TPWODL, the power distribution company serving Western Odisha, swiftly restored a disrupted 33KV line caused by heavy rainfall and strong winds in Padiyabahal and Maneswar areas of Sambalpur district on Thursday, overcoming challenging conditions.
The relentless rainfall and strong winds on Wednesday night led to the dangerous tilting of several 33KV poles, posing a significant risk to infrastructure safety. This situation resulted in the disruption of power supply to the Maneswar PSS and Padiyabahal PSS, affecting nearby areas as well. The tilted poles were located in marshy, muddy terrain, rendering them inaccessible to vehicles and materials.
Addressing the issue required extensive coordination and approval from OPTCL officials. Essential equipment, including Hydra, Pole Master, cement, stone chips, insulators, and other electrical materials, was necessary for the restoration process. Following the required approvals, the restoration work commenced promptly.
Despite the challenging conditions, the TPWODL team demonstrated remarkable dedication and commitment to resolving the issue. By 6:30 PM, the restoration work was successfully completed, and power supply to the affected areas was reinstated shortly thereafter.
TPWODL remains unwavering in its commitment to delivering reliable and uninterrupted power supply to its consumers, even in the face of adversity.
