An overhauled Turbo Blower-I was commissioned at Power Blowing Station (PBS) of CPP-I of Rourkela Steel Plant on Tuesday in presence of S R Suryawanshi, ED (Works). A manual on overhauling with photographs of different stages of overhauling was also released on the occasion by the ED (Works).
The major overhaul of Turbo Blower-I was completed for the first time, in a record time of 21 days with technical assistance from Turbotech, Hyderabad, under the leadership of S L Das, GM (CPP-I). The process was facilitated by D.K. Routray, AGM (CPP-1).
Saibal Chakraborty, CGM (Maintenance), B S Kartha, CGM (Power), R N Rajendran, CGM (Shops) and other senior executives of CPP-I, Repair Shop (Mechanical) and Instrumentation Department were also present on the occasion.
At the outset, the programme commenced with the planting of saplings by the dignitaries to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The programme was co-ordinated by S L Das under the guidance of CGM (Power).
