Identification of aspiring youths, mapping of their skill sets and providing business solutions are some of the key components of this project. The project will converge various government-run schemes and programs related to entrepreneurship development and seed an entrepreneurial ecosystem in this region.

Speaking on the occasion, Beig urged EDII and the entire team of UAIL to develop a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem in the periphery of Utkal Alumina which will not only promote self-entrepreneurship among youths, but would also help achieve the sustainable development goals of UN 2030 – SDG 1, SGD 2 and SDG 17.

Dr. Raman Gujral affirmed that UDYAMEE would be a model initiative for the state and the nation in promoting self-entrepreneurship among unemployed youths.

As a responsible corporate citizen, Hindalco’s Utkal Alumina is striving to make a difference to the lives of 30,000 people in 57 villages of Kashipur Block and Thuamul Rampur Block in the areas of education, healthcare, sustainable livelihood, rural infrastructure and social welfare.
