The Utkarsh Odisha-Make in Odisha Conclave-2025 will mark a significant step in fortifying the state’s economic and industrial landscape, said Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi while reviewing the event preparations at Janata Maidan here on Friday. “Our efforts are in the final stages, and this event will not only enhance Odisha’s economic prospects but also propel us closer to our goal of becoming one of the top five state economies,” he stated.

Scheduled for January 28-29, the conclave is expected to attract investment proposals surpassing ₹5 lakh crore, creating over 3.5 lakh employment opportunities. Over 100 investors are anticipated to sign Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) during the event. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the conclave, marking his fifth visit to Odisha in seven months, emphasizing the central government’s commitment to the state’s investment potential.

Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Jual Oram, and Ashwini Vaishnaw will also participate, along with 7,500 registered delegates, including over 100 international representatives from more than 20 countries. Partner nations such as Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia will take center stage in ‘Country of Focus’ sessions, showcasing Odisha’s expanding global industrial appeal.

The event will feature the ‘Make in Odisha Expo,’ with 150 exhibitors displaying cutting-edge innovations and services. While the expo will be accessible to delegates during the conclave, the public can attend on January 30. Thematic sessions on Start-up Odisha, Skilled in Odisha, and Women Entrepreneurship through Subhadra will focus on key developmental areas, along with roundtable discussions on women leadership, CEOs, and editors.

To add cultural vibrancy, the event will include an Odissi performance by Padma Aruna Mohanty, a drone show, and more, curated by the state’s culture department.

Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, and senior officials, including Hemant Sharma, attended the review, expressing confidence in Odisha’s preparedness to host this landmark conclave.
