Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, will be hosting the first edition of the International Aluminium Conference (IAC 2023) in association with the Aluminium Association of India (AAI) on February 9-10, 2023.
The conference, themed on “Making India the Aluminium Capital of the World”, will be held at Vedanta’s operations at Jharsuguda in Odisha.
IAC 2023 aims to bring together the global aluminium industry and its stakeholders, including customers, end consumers, suppliers of technology, services and raw materials to the aluminium industry, and other players across the value chain. The conference provides a platform for the exchange of ideas and best practices, showcasing new innovations and developments in the field of aluminium, promoting sustainability in the industry, and fostering a circular economy.
The conference will feature technical presentations from a variety of participants, including primary metal producers, equipment suppliers, product development teams, academic institutions, research centers, and prominent international experts. IAC 2023 will see industry leaders come together to deliberate the road ahead for the global aluminium industry at the panel sessions on “Opportunities in Indian Aluminium Industry to attract global investments in manufacturing”; “Aluminium alloys and their emerging applications in sunrise sectors”; “Decarbonising the Aluminium industry and the potential of Green Aluminium”; “New product development and emerging applications of Aluminium”; and “Promoting sustainability in the Aluminium industry”.

Alongside IAC 2023, there will be a 2-day international exhibition, featuring industry leaders, new-age start-ups and global suppliers from across the Aluminium industry value chain, displaying their manufacturing prowess.
