The Fire Response Team of Vedanta Lanjigarh carried out a joint operation with government emergency services recently to contain a massive LPG leak from a toppled tanker near Pasti Pada in Kalahandi district.
Responding to an emergency call from the authorities, a team of firefighters and a fire tender was quickly dispatched from Vedanta’s alumina refinery in Lanjigarh to the incident site on December 4. The Vedanta fire response team worked closely with the state emergency response teams to successfully contain the site and prevent the situation from further escalating out of control.
Vedanta’s timely support was well appreciated by the district administration.
