Vedanta Limited, Lanjigarh, a leading producer of metallurgical grade alumina and part of Vedanta Aluminium, recently embraced the spirit of giving by connecting with the local community in Lanjigarh, Kalahandi District. Led by Pranab Bhattacharyya, CEO of Vedanta Lanjigarh, and his team, the company embarked on a generous journey to five different villages, touching the lives of over 500 community members.
The day was marked with heartfelt celebrations as Vedanta Lanjigarh shared new clothes, blankets, nutritious meals, sports equipment, chocolates, and snacks with underprivileged families. Additionally, free health check-ups were provided, and various fun activities, including dancing and singing, were enjoyed with the community, celebrating the local culture.
Vedanta Lanjigarh deeply values immersing itself in the lives of the community to foster meaningful connections and make a positive impact on their well-being. The company welcomed the new year with warmth and joy, bringing smiles to the faces of children, the elderly, and families in the area.

Vedanta Lanjigarh’s social initiatives span various domains, including sustainable livelihood, quality education, women empowerment, health, water and sanitation, and community infrastructure. These efforts reach over 67 villages, benefitting more than 4000 women through self-help groups, providing healthcare services to around 60,000 people annually, establishing Lanjigarh’s first English-medium school, and empowering youth through sports and skill training initiatives.
