With the objective of bridging the demand-supply gap in quality primary healthcare services in the State, Odisha-based startup ‘VKareU’ has come up with a mobile app that offers a wide range of healthcare services at people’s doorsteps.
Founded by Binod Agarwalla and Radha Agarwal and mentored by noted Oncologist Dr. Sunil Agarwal, ‘VKareU’ will help patients access various essential healthcare services through the app on real time basis.
VKareU, which will formally start operation from April 30 in the Capital City of Odisha, offers bouquets of services which include doctor, nurse, physiotherapist for the patients besides and lab test with sample collection from home, ambulance service and doorstep medicine delivery.
Smartphone penetration and exponential rise in usage of internet opening wonderful avenues to bridge demand-supply gap in healthcare services, VkareU assures to prevent unnecessary visit to hospital by patients suffering from chronic diseases like cancer, neurological, post ICU, palliative care, orthopedic, respiratory, diabetes, and post-surgery. It will give a sense of relaxation to families who can go to work and simultaneously giving care to their loved one, said Binod Agarwalla, Co-Founder & Director, VKareU.

Speaking about the app, VKareU Director Radha Agarwal assured that only qualified doctors and other medical professionals will visit a patient’s houses at the prefixed date and time. “It will not only save time of patients and his/her caretakers but also save money on transport and consultation,” she added.
She further said that all stakeholders like patients and caretakers, healthcare workers, associates and community will get benefited through VKareU services. Patients will get quality service at affordable price.
Through this platform, patients and their family members will have access to affordable primary healthcare services at their doorsteps, healthcare professionals will get new job and utilize their time and skills, and associates will get better opportunity and stronger business, opined Dr. Sunil Agarwal.
Presently the company has roped in about 100 doctors and 500 nurses to offer services in Bhubaneswar City, the number is likely to go up in future and the services would be extended to Cuttack, Sambalpur, Rourkela, Bargarh and Balasore by the end of this year, he added.
