Swayamsiddha Ladies Club of NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters distributed essential food items at Adim Jati Sewa Mandal, Ranchi, home for underprivileged tribal children and physically challenged children, as part of the observance of National Nutrition Month (Rashtriya POSHAN Maah).
The Ladies Club distributed rice, dal, vegetable oil, pulses, health drink, fruits etc. under its CSR initiative to create awareness about proper nutrition through distribution. The generosity and voluntary contribution from each and every member of the Club made the event special and a grand success.
While interacting with the children on the occasion, Swayamsiddha Ladies Club President Mahua Mazumder spoke about the importance of food with nutritional values for maintaining a healthy and balanced life.
Mazumder laid emphasis on children having dreams in life and chasing after them to progress in life. She personally enquired from children about their dreams and aspirations in life and encouraged them to work hard to become successful in life.
The initiative of Swayamsiddha Ladies Club was appreciated by the beneficiaries. Among others, Vice Presidents of the Club Sanchita Konar, Adilakshmi Murthy, Kiran Dubey and Smitha Wilson, General Secretary, other committee members and general members of Swayamsiddha Ladies Club, office bearers from Adim Jati Sewa Mandal, Ajay Kumar Shrivastava and Vikas Kumar Sinha were also present on the occasion.
