Further consolidating its No. 1 position in Odisha, Reliance Jio has added over 1.9 lakh new subscribers in the month of February 2021, as per the latest telecom subscriber data released by TRAI, on Tuesday. With this, Jio has extended its market leadership in the state with over 1.4 crore mobile subscribers and 41 percent customer market share in the sector.
In Odisha, Reliance Jio added highest 1,90,663 mobile subscribers in February 2021 followed by Airtel which added 66,908 subscribers in the month. VI lost 64,904 subscribers and BSNL lost 35,884 subscribers during this period, as per the TRAI data. The overall mobile subscriber base in Odisha increased by 1,56,783 in February 2021 and total mobile subscriber base in the state surpassed 3.4 crore as on February 28, 2021.
Nationally, Jio added highest 42.66 lakh new subscribers followed by Airtel which added 37.3 lakh, while VI added 6.5 lakh subscribers and BSNL lost 3.6 lakh subscribers in Feb 2021. Total mobile subscriber base in the country increased by 82,92,668 in February 2021.
