State-owned Punjab National Bank (PNB) today reported 18.5 per cent year-on-year decline in its net profit to Rs 506 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2020 (Q3FY21).
The lender reported a net interest income of Rs 8,313 crore in the reported quarter.
PNB’s reported gross non-performing assets ratio at the end of the December quarter stood at 12.99 per cent as against 13.43 per cent a quarter ago. The bank’s net NPA ratio was at 4.03 per cent as compared to 4.75 per cent in the previous quarter.
The total income of the lender came in at Rs 23,298 crore during the quarter, against Rs 15,967 crore in the same period a year earlier. Its total expenses in Q3FY21, meanwhile, stood at Rs 16,907 crore.
