Curtain comes down on Dalmia Cement’s Safety Month observance

The Occupational Health and Safety Month which was being observed in Rajgangpur-based Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd.  (DCBL) since March 1, concluded today. Employees and officers of the Company enthusiastically participated in the programme which reiterated Dalmia safety.

Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Director (Factories & Boilers)-Rourkela Bibhu Prasad who graced the closing ceremony as chief guest, urged the employees and officers to lay emphasis on accident-free production in the cement plant.

Umakant Samantaray, Deputy Director (Factories & Boilers)-Rourkela spoke on the issue of safety at the factory and measures to prevent accidents.

DCBL Executive Director and Rajgangpur Unit Head Chetan Srivastav who was the Guest of Honour of the function, said that the company has always prioritized the safety of its employees. He urged the employees to promise to make the Rajgangpur plant accident-free.

The employees staged three plays and short videos based on the safety measures which impressed everyone.

Balaram Panda, Head, Human Resources, gave the welcome address, while Arvind Singh, Head, Engineering Department, read out the monthly safety report.

Winners of various competitions held to mark the occasion, were awarded at the closing ceremony.

Company’s Administration, Estate, Safety and Fire Brigade departments extended their wholehearted support to make the programme a grand success.
