Dalmia Cement celebrates 74th Republic Day at its Rajgangpur unit

The 74th Republic Day was celebrated by Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd. (DCBL) Rajgangpur at the local Bir Birsa Stadium, here on Thursday. As per the tradition, the senior most employee of the company Refractory Department AGM (Project) Charu Chandra Hui graced the occasion as the chief guest and hoisted the National Flag.

DCBL Executive Director and Rajgangpur Unit Head Chetan Shrivastava, Refractory Head Virendra Prasad, Deputy Plant Head of the Refractory K. Selva Muthukumar graced the function as guests of honour.

Wishing everyone a Happy Republic Day, Rajgangpur Unit Head Chetan Shrivastava said that our country is bound by the thread of love. Our country is the identity of we Indians and we should feel proud to be Indians.

The students of Dalmia Vidyalaya were felicitated on the occasion for their outstanding achievements.

Bhola Prasad of Dalmia Cement Production Department, Manoj Das of Estate Department and Jacob Tete of Refractory Production Department along with 13 other employees of Dalmia Cement Safety Department were felicitated for their good work.

The program concluded with a cultural program on patriotism by the students of Dalmia Vidyalaya.

The event was attended by senior officers, employees of the Company and parents of the students.

Bivor Prasad of the HR Department of the Refractory Unit gave the welcome address and coordinated the programme, while Devi Prasad Das of Rajgangpur Unit-3 Technical Department gave vote of thanks. HR, Admin, Estate, Security, Dam, Cement Department employees, officials and local administration extended their whole-hearted support to make the event a grand success.

The day was celebrated by the CSR Department of Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited, Lanjiberna Mining Office, Rehabilitation & Resettlement Colony Katang and Jorumal Government UP School, Kesharmal Girls’ High School, Ranibandh High School by organizing various competitions.

Besides, Mary Kujur of Alanda village was given a wheelchair by Dalmia Cement.

The Logistics Department of Dalmia Cement Rajgangpur celebrated Republic Day by decorating the railway station and organizing various events. Executive Director, DCBL ED and Rajgangpur Unit Head Chetan Shrivastava, Cluster Logistics Head Abhishek Chandra, Rajgangpur Railway Station Chief Chit Ranjan Barik, RPF Incharge RN Yadav, officers of Logistics Department and Transport Department were present in the event.
