Dalmia Cement celebrates Raja Mahotsav

Raja Mahotsav was joyfully celebrated at Dalmia Cement Bharat Limited, Rajgangpur. During the three-day festival which kicked off on Tuesday, varieties of cultural events and sports activities for children, girls and women of all age groups were organised with the aim to reli​​ve traditional Odia ways of celebration and promote Odisha’s  rich tradition and culture.

Events like Saja-Baja, Raja Doli, Raja Pana, Jhoti, Hula huli, Sankha, Kit-Kit, Pucchi, Kite Flying, Lattu, Gilli Danda and many others were enjoyed by all. On the concluding day of the celebration, a heart warming cultural event was organised involving varieties of Odia traditional dance forms by the in-house artistes.

Raja is great festival for expression of our gratitude towards women and its significance was so beautifully narrated through varieties of traditional dances and cultural programs including dance drama ‘Shree Jagannath’ by Sanjushree Dalmia, Radharani Patnaik, Jasmin, Smita Mishra, Sandhya Panigrahi, Garima Dalmia and many other children and women. At the end ‘mahaprasad’ of Lord Jagannath served to all.

Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd. (DBCL) Senior Executive Director and National Manufacturing Head Ganesh Jirkuntwar, DBCL Executive Director & Rajgangpur Unit Head Chetan Shrivastav, Dalmia-OCL Refractories Ltd. Plant Head Birendra Prasad and Deputy Plant Head K. Selvamuthukumar graced the occasion as guests. Sangam Mahila Mandal President Preeti Jirkuntwar, Saroj Srivastava, Barnali Prasad and its members were also present on the occasion.

Guests, audience and many other members of Dalmia Cement family were mesmerised after having glimpses of the Odia tradition and rich culture, presented so beautifully during the three-day celebration of the Raja festival.

Colourful cultural programmes marked the celebration of Raja Mahotsav. Employees of DCBL Rajgangpur Unit’s, Admin & HR, Estate, Security, Fire, Cement & Refractories departments contributed to the grand success of the colourful extravaganza.

Applauding the superb display of talent by in-house artistes who offered their best to make the function a grand success, Ganesh Jirkuntwar also appreciated the contribution of the organising team comprising Ashwini Dalmia, D C Dasptnaik, Dilip Singh, Ajay Panda, Deepa Ojha, Birendra Kumar, Dr. Sarojini Sahoo, Subhrashu Das, Somnath Parida, Pravin Singh Senger, Amit Pandey, Sanjay Banerjee, Pulin Sir, Sachin Dalmia and others.
