As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Gopalpur Ports Limited (GPL) has opened a primary health checkup center at Duburi Chhak under Kanamana Panchayat .
GPL Chief Executive Officer (CEO) VJ Rao inaugurated the health checkup center in the presence of VP (HR/IR) Ajay Kumar Mishra, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Vikash Kumar, AVP, (HR/IR) Chittaranjan Bahinipati, local villagers, intellectuals and other port officials on Wednesday.
Inaugurating the health checkup center, Rao said, “GPL is always committed to improve the health, education and sanitation of the port peripherals. This Center is our step and support towards creating a healthier society.”
All age group people in the nearby villages will be benefited from this health checkup center, said Ajay Kumar Mishra. He also appealed to the villagers to make maximum use of this facility.
Efficient and senior consultant doctors from various departments like Gynecology, Pediatrics and General Medicine will visit the center to diagnose, counsel and inform the patients free of cost.
It may be recalled that Gopalpur Port has undertaken significant work under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. A number of projects involving development of infrastructure for the local community have been executed.
