Reinforcing its social welfare initiatives within the region, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL), a leading Indian cement major and a subsidiary of Dalmia Bharat Limited, successfully completed its medical drive in Odisha benefiting over 11,000 community residents of the State.

The camp was organized by DCBL’s Kapilas Cement Manufacturing Works (KCMW) plant in Cuttack, in association with its Occupational Health Centre, ‘Sanjeevani.’ The camp included a number of healthcare facilities provided through its Mobile Medical Units (MMU) and covered 31 villages in Cuttack and 15 villages in Jajpur to benefit over 11,000 community residents.

Some of the healthcare services being offered include OPD facilities, and round-the-clock emergency services to manage medical emergencies, first aid provisions for minor injuries and referrals as well as ambulance services to the higher centre in severe or critical cases. The medical institutes that provided support to DCBL in this initiative were Cure Well Laboratories and Subham Diagnostics of Cuttack.

“At Dalmia Cement Bharat, we have always believed in working collaboratively so that we are able to prioritise the well-being of the people and, at the same time, alleviate health-related sufferings of the underprivileged within the communities we operate,” said Bhavesh Wala, Deputy Executive Director & Unit Head, KCMW, DCBL. “Through the success of our ongoing medical camps we have been able to offer unique healthcare facilities such as our MMU initiative; and the support of our competent healthcare team help increase the community’s access to basic and special medical provisions.”

Some of the special initiatives that were part of the medical drive included periodical medical examinations being provided along with screening for blood test, a special health camp such as Spirometry and Audiometry for high-risk groups, a COVID vaccination camp and a health camp dedicated to the drivers’ community that received very good response of 113 checkups.

Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited continues to amplify its social commitment in the regions it operates in through various community-centric initiatives.
