Over 350 people benefit from Hindalco’s multi-specialty health camp

As many as 372 patients were treated at a multi-specialtyhealth camp organised by the Hirakud Unit of Hindalco at Mohamadpur High School in Mohamadpur here on Sunday with the objective of offering specialised healthcare facilities to the people in the region.

The camp was inaugurated by Hindalco Hirakud Complex HR Head Krishna Padhi in presence of Smelter Plant Engineering Head Arun Kumar Singh, Power Plant Operation Head Nimai Mahapatra, FRP Plant HR Head Shiva Mishra, Deepak Mohanty, Hindalco Chief Medical officer Dr. Subrot Chatterjee and Gynaecologist Dr. Padmalaya Mishra.

Dr. Padmalaya Mishra, Dr. Disha Khan, Dr. Netrananda Dora, Dr. Chandan Marandi, Dr. Anil Mohan Mishra, Dr. Prasant Das, Dr. Ipsita Panda and Dr. Chanchal Goinka examined the patients and advised them accordingly. Free medicines were also provided to the patients who visited the health camp.

Speaking on the occasion, Padhi said, “Taking care of public health is our prime concern. We are making every effort to improve health care facilities in our immediate vicinity,” while assuring that the Company would continue health-related endeavours in future too.

“We will take part in educational development as well as other activities,” he further said.

 Ittua Khadia, Nattu Biswal, Akrura Telenga, Pramod Biswal, Kunja Banchore, Deepak Bhoi and Surendra Chowbey of Larpank, President of Senior Citizen Association, Hirakud, and Anil Mishra, Headmaster of Mohamadpur High School were among those who spoke at the function. They lauded Hindalco for its efforts to protect public health. The speakers urged villagers to take advantage of such health camps to safeguard their health.

The camp was organised under the guidance of Hindalco Sambalpur Cluster Head Kailash Pandey, who has been emphasizing local community development. “Hindalco will undertake many development activities in the Hirakud area with the support of the public,” he said.

All staff of Hindalco health care service and the CSR department staff of Hindalco Hirakud coordinated the programme.
