Rourkela Chapter celebrates 18th PRCI Foundation Day

ROURKELA, APRIL 4, 2022

The Rourkela Chapter of the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) on Sunday organised a function to celebrate the 18th Foundation Day of PRCI.

PRCI Rourkela Chapter Chairperson Archana Satpathy presided over the function and cut the cake to mark the occasion.

BN Mishra, Editor, Koshal Horizon & former PR Executive of Rourkela Steel Plant and Anjana Moitra, Vice Chairperson, PRCI Rourkela Chapter and Professor, Government College, Rourkela were the guest speakers on the occasion.

During the session, Mishra elucidated upon the topic “Evolution of Public Relations profession in Odisha,” where he highlighted the humble beginning of PR in corporate sector and how RSP became a pioneer in this field by setting trend for the rest of the organisation in the state.

A session on “Power of Non Verbal Communication’ was taken by Anjana Moitra. She elaborated on the different components of Body Language, connotation of body postures, interpretation of body signals and masking to help understand one’s behaviour in day to day functioning.

It was followed by a group game based on the subject “Who Am I’ through verbal and non-verbal communications. The session was conducted by Loalti Toppo, Senior Manager (PR) of Rourkela Steel Plant.

In her concluding remarks, Satpathy thanked the guest speakers and urged all to work towards making PRCI, Rourkela Chapter a vibrant chapter with wider reach and organisation of various programmes.

At the outset, CK Sharma, Treasurer, PRCI, Rourkela Chapter and Manager (RSP-PR), welcomed the gathering and coordinated the function.
